Project Background
The engagement concerns the provision of advanced cybersecurity services focusing on the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of security controls, systems, and processes. The consultant will support operational cybersecurity activities, ensuring the protection, monitoring, and resilience of IT systems and services while aligning with established security frameworks and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity-related support to users and customers
- Integrate cybersecurity solutions and ensure their proper operation
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade secure systems, services, and products
- Implement cybersecurity procedures, controls, and monitoring mechanisms
- Monitor performance and effectiveness of implemented security controls
- Document and report on security posture, incidents, and improvements
- Collaborate closely with IT teams on cybersecurity initiatives
- Apply patches and updates to address vulnerabilities
- Support design and implementation of security solutions across IT systems
- Assist with security technologies including access control, filtering, antivirus, DLP, and cloud security
- Participate in security reviews, audits, and compliance activities
- Maintain technical documentation and operating procedures
- Monitor security systems, respond to alerts and incidents
- Recommend and evaluate tools and improvements to strengthen security posture
- Design, deploy, test, maintain, and troubleshoot cybersecurity infrastructure
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed technical security specifications
- Support stakeholders in defining and negotiating security requirements
- Ensure service continuity of cybersecurity components in line with SLAs
- Diagnose and resolve cybersecurity system issues and faults
Required Profile & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle
- Expertise in operating systems and network security
- Knowledge of security controls and best practices
- Understanding of offensive and defensive security techniques
- Knowledge of secure coding practices
- Hands-on experience as an Information Security Administrator or Specialist
- Knowledge of vulnerabilities, threats, penetration testing, remediation techniques, and risk analysis methodologies
- Familiarity with ISO 27000 standards and SANS CIS controls
- Knowledge of OWASP standards
- Good understanding of network protocols (SMTP, NTP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, PKI/CA)
- Practical experience designing and executing security testing
- Practical experience with Identity and Access Management solutions
- Ability to document, report, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Education & Experience
University degree (minimum Level 6)
Minimum 8 years of IT-related professional experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
Technical Knowledge
Mandatory:
- Experience in PKI operations
- Experience with security monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, Darktrace)
- Experience in vulnerability management services (including Tenable) and penetration testing coordination
- Experience in deploying and managing PAM platforms
- Experience in application security testing (SAST/DAST tools such as CheckMarx)
- Experience implementing controls aligned with Zero Trust Architecture
Desirable:
- Broad experience integrating cybersecurity solutions into enterprise environments
- Experience defining and implementing advanced security configurations and architectures
Language
Working knowledge of English (B2 or higher)
Engagement Terms
Freelance-based engagement
Full-time (40 hours/week), flexible hours negotiable
Initial 230 working days, with potential extensions up to a total of 920 days over 4 years
