EC Business Analyst L(5-6)

For out client EC we are looking for Business Analyst

 

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

  • Collaborate with business users, stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document reporting/dashboarding requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and user needs to define and design clear and comprehensive data/reporting/dashboarding
  • Perform data analysis translating the needs into reports and
  • Work closely with data architects and database developers to design and model data structures that align with business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements to a business case, describing As Is vs To Be and providing a Fit-Gap analysis.
  • Offer customer   guidance   in    choosing   and   proposing   the most    suitable     solution (reports/dashboards designs) to aid their daily activities.
  • Document clear functional specifications for the development
  • Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant
  • Test and validate the proposed reports and dashboards and its functionalities making sure it correctly reflects the data from the source systems.
  • Implement and oversee data quality standards, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent and
  • Identify and address data quality issues through collaboration with relevant
  • Assist in the go-life of the validated
  • Provide knowledge sharing and expertise towards the internal team of
  • Draft test plans and test scenarios linked to business
  • Collaborate with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developers to define data integration requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of business needs and data requirements.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes to business processes on the data
  • Work with stakeholders to manage change requests and ensure that changes align with overall business and data strategies.

2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

  • Hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in the context of reporting and data visualization. e Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense dashboarding.
  •   Proven experience understanding complex information systems and data flows.
  •  Knowledge of SQL for data exploration.
  • Ability to analyse complex business processes, understand the underlying data requirements and translate the processes into reports and dashboards.
  • Deep understanding of the business domain and industry to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong capacity in preparing and documenting clear and comprehensive business requirements.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies such as data integration tools, reporting tools and database management systems.
  • Understanding of data quality concepts and experience designing data quality dashboards
  • Capability to speak to business stakeholders to identify data requirements, business rules and reporting needs.
  • Capability to speak with technical audiences.
  • Experience documenting business specifications, functional specifications and data mapping documents.
  • Experience collaborating with the development teams in passing and explaining the reporting and dashboarding specifications.
  • Experience with the integration of multiple data sources in the data models used for the reports and dashboards.
  • Strong capacity to give high level presentations, demo reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to analyse business processes to understand data flows, data sources and data usage.
  • Perform data profiling and data quality analysis to ensure the data integrity in reports and dashboards.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.).
  • Understanding of change management principles and the ability to navigate changes within the data warehouse environment.
  • Ability to develop test cases and perform user acceptance testing to ensure the data warehouse meets business requirements.
  • Ability to validate the reports and dashboards to reflect accurate data and meet business expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile)
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator.
  • Capability of working in an intemational/ multicultural environment.
  • Good understanding and experience to apply the SAFe methodology.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.

 

3. Specific Expertise

  • eProcurement business knowledge and specifically understanding the eProcurement concepts and processes at EC is an advantage.

5. Service Delivery

  • The services shall be performed remotely in Far-site location within EU territory
  • Laptop will be provided by the Commission and must be collected in
  • Onsite presence may be requested with a notice period of 7
