For out client EC we are looking for Digital Workspace System Engineer (DWPE)
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Identification, validation and deployment of solutions in the Digital Workplace environments
• Technical assistance to the DWP team in identifying and solving technical issues
• Assistance with evaluating and testing Digital Workplace components (applications, security
• components and principles)
• Definition of test plans and test cases
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts
• Execution of tests & Test coordination.
• Production of technical documentation
• Assistance with production deployment tasks and in training administrators and users
• Participation in meetings within the Commission
2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Knowledge of procurement solutions and business processes
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission,
candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting
capability and experience in working in team;
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
• Excellent Team Player
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained
in DIGIT A2 contain personal and confidential data
3. Specific Expertise
• Prior knowledge of public procurement business processes.
• Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business,
information, and technology related opportunities and problems
• Extensive experience with validation of Java Enterprise technologies, Microservices
Architecture, Kafka infrastructures.
• Excellent leadership and conciliation skills
• Communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.:
reports, articles, etc.).
• Group session facilitation.

5. Service Delivery
• The services shall be performed remotely in Near-site location allowing to reach the Commission
premises in Brussels within 2 hours.
• Laptop will be provided by the Commission.
• The external service provider may be requested to participate in the meetings with the Commission’s
services in Brussels (and exceptionally in other locations).
