For out client EC we are looking for Project Manager
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring
and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales,
and quality
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Make proposals for project strategies and working methods, planning, definition of tasks and
deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management,
status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization
• Create and monitor Vision and Business Case documents
• Create and maintain other required project documentation using appropriate documentation
standards and templates
• Participate in, and if needed moderate, functional working groups and progress meetings
• Manage the change control procedure seeking agreement for revisions to the project from
project sponsors.
• Organise cost estimation sessions
• Propose timescales and resources needs for the successful completion of each project to agreed
terms of reference.
• Prepare and maintain project and quality plans
• Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.
• Track activities against the plan
• Monitor costs, timescales and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed
tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
• Provide effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated.
• Constantly develop their skills and experience
• Report regularly on progress, consumption, issues, risks and deviations. Maintain up to date the
reporting documentation
2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of IT-related professionals
• Excellent knowledge of project management standards, methodologies and activities, in particular
of planning, requirements engineering, monitoring, controlling, testing and reporting
• Good knowledge of Agile principles and practices
• Proficiency with project management tools
• Good IT technical knowledge, to be able to manage IT projects, in particular DRUPAL
• Ability to give presentations
• Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.
• Ability to work in an international / multi-cultural environment, experience in working in teams,
understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions
• Service and results oriented
• Professional experience in the legal domain will be considered a plus
• Basic knowledge of Justice, Consumers, Migration and Home Affairs EU policy objectives
• Knowledge of Justice, Consumers, Migration and Home Affairs related public IT systems
• Previous experience in legal organisations or departments would be a plus

The services shall be performed on Commission premises in Brussels. The remote service provision (home-working) may be agreed for tasks not requiring the presence onsite. Laptop will be provided by the Commission
