Position Summary
The Information Security Architect manages the deployment of the solution in accordance with the architectural design and operational procedures. He is responsible for creating low-level designs of individual solution blocks to achieve the high-level objectives of the implementation. He oversees the implementation team’s adherence to the architectural design framework and compliance with the customer’s architectural principles.The architect collaborates with mission stakeholders, national representatives, technical teams, and leadership to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solution:
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Understanding the design of a cybersecurity project implementation in a distributed, high-security organization environment
- Managing the implementation of cybersecurity solutions in accordance with the high-level architectural design
- Integrate Zero-Trust principles and specific security controls into architectural designs.
- Collaboration on the design and revision of low-level designs for individual elements of the cybersecurity architecture
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Conduct security risk assessments, threat analyses, and impact evaluations within solution implementation
- Presentation and defense of proposed solutions and implementation procedures within the steering committee
- Manage compliance with solution implementation milestones and enforce principles and limits given by the architectural solution
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 31000, NIST 800 series, GDPR, NIS2, and security directives.
Cybersecurity Strategy
- Develop and maintain implementation roadmaps, and architecture frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance on secure-by-design principles and cybersecurity modernization initiatives within the solution implementation
- Evaluate emerging threats, technologies, product features and best practices to support solution implementation
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with system owners, architects, engineers, operational teams, technology vendors and leadership bodies.
Report on the status of high-level objectives and solution implementation milestones
Required Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in information security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, secure architecture, information systems engineering, or GRC roles.
- Experience supporting large enterprises, public sector institutions, defense organizations, or critical infrastructure environments.
Technical Competencies
- Strong orientation in the Cybersecurity area, primarily EDR/XDR and SIEM solutions
- Ability to lead a technical team and guide the architectural and technological direction of the implementation
- Ability to communicate with technology vendors and solution buyers to address design issues, implementation milestones, and acceptance criteria
- Optional: knowledge of OT/ICS, critical infrastructure, and complex distributed systems.
Certifications (preferred)
- CISSP
- CISM
- CISA
- CCSP
- TOGAF
