Senior Elastic Engineer Consultant – REMOTE

About the Project

The agency is enhancing and maintaining its on‑premise Observability and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) ecosystem built on the Elastic Search technology stack. The consultant will support engineering activities on logs, metrics, traces, and APM, including infrastructure modernization planned for ICT Workplan 2026.

• Maintain and improve on‑prem Elastic Search infrastructure running on Kubernetes.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Observability infrastructure (logs/metrics/traces).
• Implement OpenTelemetry (OTel) for generating and exporting telemetry data.
• Design and improve Kibana dashboards for monitoring and alerting.
• Automate deployments and configuration of Elastic & Kibana resources.
• Provide operational support for Elastic Search and Observability platforms.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices.
• Establish and maintain deployment procedures for information systems.
• Conduct technical reviews, provide assurance, and design deployment strategies.
• Create and maintain Terraform‑based IaC modules for Elastic infrastructure.
• Collaborate in agile sprints with product owners and internal teams.

Required Experience
Mandatory:

• • 9+ years of experience in ICT (developer, sysadmin, DevOps, engineer, etc.).
  • 5+ years in systems & IT operations.
  • 3+ years experience with Elastic Search & Kibana.
  • 1+ year of experience with Observability & OpenTelemetry.
  • 3+ years experience working in agile environments.
  • 1+ year of hands‑on Terraform (IaC design & implementation).
  • Proven experience with CI/CD and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Knowledge
Mandatory:

• Excellent knowledge of Elastic Search stack, its lifecycle (patching, upgrading, maintaining).
• Excellent knowledge of Observability & APM based on Elastic.
• Excellent knowledge of OpenTelemetry framework and tooling.
• Good knowledge of DevOps principles and automation.
• Good knowledge of Terraform (infrastructure as code).

Education

• University degree.

Elastic Certified Engineer

Desirable:
Elastic Observability Engineer
Terraform Associate
