Position Summary
– You create the concept and manage the planning for preliminary analysis and design phase;
– You perform the functional analysis of information systems and draw up the functional design after the prestudy;
– You support changes and enhancements from development through production;
– You recommend and implement system enhancements;
– You develop new program requirements and specifications to support specific customer needs;
– You support system upgrades and resolve problems with current systems;
– You analyse service requests to determine feasibility, technological changes, resource requirements and project time estimates.
Next to a proven experience in bank and insurance, you have the following core competences : Agile Methodologies, Analytical thinking, Collaborating, Data driven, IT Security, Software development.

The KATE Control Room is a strategic initiative within the CRO domain, designed to centralize risk insights, automate control follow‑up, and provide up to date monitoring for the organization. The project aims to bring together data, processes, and user workflows in a modern control-room solution that supports decision-making, transparency, and operational efficiency.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Functional/Data Analyst who will help translate business needs into clear functional designs and guide the delivery of high‑quality digital solutions.
As a Functional/Data Analyst for the KATE Control Room project, you will:
-Requirements & Analysis
-Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (Risk, Compliance, data Owners, Process Experts) to understand needs and pain points.
-Analyze and challenge requirements, transforming them into clear, structured functional specifications.
-Model current and future processes to identify improvements and automation opportunities.
Functional Design
-Create detailed functional designs for dashboards, alerts, workflows, data flows, user journeys, and reporting features.
-Define rules for automated controls and alerting mechanisms.
-Ensure consistency with the overall architecture and the project vision.
Collaboration & Delivery
-Work closely with the team (developers, data specialists, PO,..) in an agile context.
-Work closely with business to truly understand the business needs
-Support refinement sessions, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
-Validate deliveries during testing cycles and guide acceptance testing.
-Translate complex topics into clear communication for non‑technical stakeholders.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
-Maintain clear documentation (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).
-Proactively spot improvements in user experience, process optimization, and system usability.
-Help build a scalable and future-proof control-room experience.
Your Profile
Must-Have
-Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role in digital or data-driven projects.
-Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Ability to translate business needs into functional designs that developers understand.
-Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
-Proficiency in English.
Nice-to-Have
-Experience in risk, compliance environments.
-Experience with process modelling (BPMN, UML or similar)
-Familiarity with dashboarding or monitoring solutions (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Splunk, etc.).
-Knowledge of workflows and automation tools.
-Understanding of data models and APIs.
-Dutch – nice to have
